Cleaning and Maintaining your G10 & Brass LOK Grips.

Cleaning and Maintaining your LOK Grips

Dry vs Oiled

G10
Over time, G10 grips may become dirty or appear "faded." Do not be alarmed, they simply need to be cleaned and oiled.

  • Hand wash them in the sink with dish soap and water
  • Use a tooth brush or rag as needed
  • Dab dry with a towel
  • Rub the entire grip surface with oil. We use Mineral Oil here, but any other oil will work. Gun oil is also common and works well.
  • Dab dry again before use.

The oil will bring the colors back out in the grips!

Dry vs Oiled

Brass
Over time your brass grips will naturally darken(patina).
They may also become dirty from regular use.

  • Hand wash with dish soap and water to remove any dirt or oil
  • Use a tooth brush or rag as needed
  • Dry with a towel
  • Clean with Bar Keepers Friend (or another brass cleaner)
  • Rinse with water and towel dry thoroughly
